Honda Center was among eight arenas nominated for the 2007 Pollstar Concert Industry Venue of the Year Award, as announced last month.
Other arenas nominated are Madison Square Garden, New York City; Sommet Center, Nashville; Verizon Center, Washington, D.C.; Air Canada Centre, Toronto; Staples Center, Los Angeles; HP Pavilion at San Jose; and the Xcel Energy Center, St. Paul, Minn.
Pollstar Magazine focuses primarily on the concert industry and reports on news regarding sports and entertainment.
The nominating committee is made up of industry leaders in all facets of the entertainment business: arena managers, artists, artist managers, agents and promoters from across the country and abroad. The winner of the award is determined by the international readership of Pollstar. The magazine has conducted this awards event for 18 years, according to Pollstar officials.
Honda Center has been an eight-time nominee for the arena of the year award, including six straight nominations from 1994-1999.
The 19th Annual Pollstar Concert Industry Awards Ceremony will take place Feb. 7 in Los Angeles at the Nokia Theater.
