STING AND PAUL SIMON OPEN TOUR TO GLOWING REVIEWS
Monday, February 10, 2014

Two of music’s most renowned artists kicked off their On Stage Tour on February 8 in Houston to rave reviews from critics and concert goers.

Sting and Paul Simon played 10 of the show’s 30 songs together, including “Brand New Day,” “Boy in the Bubble,” and “Fields of Gold” throughout the two-hour and 45-minute performance.

Billboard called it “a fairly seamless collaborative endeavor more akin to Billy Joel and Elton John's Face 2 Face programs than the typical joint billing.

“Moreover, their two bands – a combined 14 musicians -- melded and intertwined throughout the night, adding richness and nuance to the song arrangements.”

Merging two artists with their own unique styles, in addition to two different bands led Simon to label the first show as an “experiment,” one that Billboard says “succeeded by any measure on opening night – and will likely keep improving until the tour wraps on March 16 in Orlando.”

The On Stage Tour will visit Honda Center on February 16.
