Puerto Rican singer, Marc Anthony, will be performing in concert on November 13 at The Theatre in Honda Center.
Selected by Time Magazine as one of the most influential Latin singers of the United States, Marc Anthony also holds the record as the artist with the most Premio Lo Nuestro awards.
Besides the many distinctions that Marc Anthony has received for his music in Spanish, including numerous Latin Billboard Music Awards, he has also received recognition for his music in English. He has been atop the English charts through his albums, "Marc Anthony" and "Mended". He obtained great success at the global level with his single "I Need to Know,"off of "Marc Anthony"—which was one of the vehicles that contributed to the explosion of Latin music in 1999.
On August 3, 2007, PictureHouse launched "El Cantante," the film directed by Leon Ichaso in which Marc Anthony plays the Puerto Rican legend of salsa, Hector Lavoe, alongside Jennifer Lopez. The soundtrack of "El Cantante" premiered on July 24 that same year and remained in the No. 1 spot in sales for six consecutive weeks and still remains one of the best selling albums of the past two years.
Singer/songwriter, Marc Anthony also participated in other films such as Hackers (1995), The Substitute (1996), Big Night (1996), and a film directed by Martin Scorsese, Bringing Out the Dead (1999). He has also worked alongside Salma Hayek in the Showtime movie, In the Time of the Butterflies (2001) and with Denzel Washington and Christopher Walken in Man on Fire (2004).
